Went to a local junkyard today to find a few items. One on the list for the Z is an oil cooler. After scrounging around a little I found a Volvo turbo somethingorother! It still had the turbo in it! It also had an oil cooler still in it and I grabbed that. At the checkout lane I paid a total of $10.60 for the treasure. :) I drove over to Vik's house to take a look at his stock oil cooler to find that the stock TTZ oil cooler is only half as thick (1"). This Volvo cooler is not only 2" thick, but it also has more cooling galleys for the oil to flow through. More capacity(galleys) means the oil flows slower which gives it more time to dissapate the heat. Therefore, the cooler the oil becomes. Hella nice deal for $10 AND it was in great condition. No bent fins! Ha!
I think my car is becoming more of a hybrid rather than a conventional NA->TT conversion LOL
